  3. Hi, can you also write a tutorial on how you install ubuntu 15.10 on MSI gs70? I recently bought a GS70 6QE, and really struggle to install ubuntu. After I select boot ubuntu from USB, the installation will just freeze. Are you older tutorials also valid for the newer MSI gs70?

  5. Hi man. I tried with your blog to install ubuntu 15.10, but it falled again. I still have the same error as before. After the ubuntu logo appears, it will just hang in here and nothing happens. Have turned other things off, such as intel secure boot and fast boot from windows, as suggested by other people? Thanks for you help in advance.

    2. Hi man, thanks for the reply. But what exactly do you mean a console? Here is what I see when boot from usb: after I see the MSI logo, I press the F11 key to choose the usb boot device. Then I was given instructions to 'install ubuntu' or 'try ubuntu without installing'. But it was just plain text on a black screen, like working in the command line, no console or GUI or anything. After this I choose install ubuntu and then my computer just freeze after the ubuntu logo pop out. So you mean it is my Graphics driver that is causing the problem? I have a GTX-970M with a i7 6700H core.

    3. Hi man, sorry to bother you again. I now figure out the console you refer to. When I press ctrl+alt+f1, there is indeed a console, which is the intel graphics driver control panel. So you mean the nvidia and intel graphics drivers confuse the ubuntu installer? Shall I uninstall intel graphics driver and try to install ubuntu again then?
